Upon reaching the clearing young Jon finds his love Maggie lying there, an arrow from an unknown assailant piercing her heart, her life draining away. He holds her, peering into her unseeing eyes, whispering in her unhearing ears, listening as her heart beats it’s last faint beat. Helplessly he sees her final Vapors rise and drift away.

His infinite sorrow turns to a rage that changes him from the innocent young man to a warrior with unstoppable will and resolve to avenge this Travesty. The life he knew and dreamed of ends and a new one begins in that clearing in the wood.

He knows not who he seeks but will know when he finds him. He is guided by her whispers in his head. His road of anger is long but his resolve never wanes. He will free her restless spirit by avenging her no matter how long he must search or how far he must travel.

So begins “The Legend of the Hawk”.
